“What do you suggest for someone who does not have health insurance?”
This is a difficult question that more and more Americans are facing. The United States Census Bureau reports that 46.2 million people were living in poverty in 2010, “up from 43.6 million in 2009″. Another 46 million do not have any health insurance. The issue of health insurance and poverty in the U.S. is a topic that frustrates me, angers me and leaves me and many other physicians and hospitals on the front line in terms of having to determine how to get health-care to those without insurance coverage.
